| 2/22 | Friday 4:00-6:00 PM, Memorial Auditorium, Stanford University Host: Stanford Entrepreneurship Network Join us for the world premiere of the movie, Imagine It!, an acclaimed documentary featuring numerous Stanford students competing in last year's Innovation Tournament. Festivities will also include remarks by Stanford president and entrepreneur, John Hennessy, and the unveiling of the weeklong, campus-wide Innovation Tournament mystery item. Download the movie! 6:00-6:30 PM, Memorial Auditorium, Stanford University Host: Stanford Entrepreneurship Network Immediately following the kickoff event and movie premiere of Imagine It!, come down to the front of the auditorium for an intimate question and answer session with executive producer, Richard Tavener, and director, Rudy Poe. They will talk about the moviemaking process as an entrepreneurial endeavor and answer your questions about what's involved. They'll also discuss how to become a collaborator on their upcoming films. |

Hewlett Teaching Center, Room 200 Host: Stanford Technology Ventures Program (STVP) and BASES Are corporate claims to "green" and "social responsibility" real or just good marketing? How can we tell? What are the tricks of the trade? Should there be an industry "seal of approval" analogous to Underwriters Laboratories, the trusted source across the globe for product compliance? Join former Hewlett Packard senior executive and Skoll Foundation board member, Debra Dunn, as she explores these questions with Stanford graduates and founders of B Corporation: Jay Cohen Gilbert, Bart Houlahan and Andrew Kassoy. Raffle prizes will be given away throughout the event. 4:00-6:00, Bechtel Conference Center, Encina Hall Hosts: Stanford Project on Regions of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SPRIE) and Asia-Pacific Student Entrepreneurship Society (ASES) Up-and-coming Stanford entrepreneurs must think and act globally. Come meet three global entrepreneurs and hear how they got started, challenges they are wrestling with right now, and their best advice on going global. |
