Overview:
Learn how to tell your story in a way that will hold your audience captive, whether you're pitching ideas, products, your company, or yourself. Feel free to arrive with a pitch in mind that you'd like to work on. You'll find out how to structure your message, make it irresistible, and WOW them with visuals. Apply these principles and tips to pitches of any length and to any audience, whether it be investors, customers, partners, employees, employers, the media or others. This fast-paced, hands-on workshop will be led by marketing expert, Theresa Lina Stevens, and design guru, Forrest Glick, both of the Stanford Technology Ventures Program. A complimentary light brunch will be served. Space is limited to the first 30 people. Arrive early.

Theresa Lina Stevens
Theresa Lina Stevens has more than 25 years of experience in helping
organizations effectively tell their stories to the market place. She
currently works with the Stanford Technology Ventures Program (STVP) in the
School of Engineering at Stanford University, where she conducts marketing,
outreach and project management activities. She also provides overall
leadership for Entrepreneurship Week on behalf of the Stanford
Entrepreneurship Network (SEN). ÊIn addition to her role at Stanford,
Theresa is the founder and president of Lina Group, Inc., a strategic
marketing consulting firm. She specializes in helping technology and
professional services companies clearly differentiate in crowded markets and
is currently writing a book on this topic. She has served as Chief Marketing
Officer for two VC-backed Internet startups and spent 16 years working with
Accenture in strategy, technology and marketing positions, both as an
executive and outside consultant.
Forrest Glick
Forrest Glick is the Director of Educational Technology at the Stanford Technology Ventures Program (STVP). He serves as project lead for Stanford's Entrepreneurship Corner (ecorner.stanford.edu), an internationally-recognized website offering video clips and podcasts of entrepreneurial thought leaders from Silicon Valley and beyond. With a deep background in graphic design and architecture, Forrest specializes in the design and development of online multimedia and video. He serves as chair of the university-wide Video and Multimedia Group at Stanford, which works to stay at the forefront of presentation techniques and technology. He has over 10 years of experience in the production of instructional multimedia. Prior to joining Stanford University, he worked at Harvard University, where he was responsible for leading Harvard@Home, a website offering video and interactive content highlighting events from across the university. When not in front of a computer, he enjoys outdoor photography, mountain biking, travel and beach volleyball.
